Close Proximity Warnings for National Parks, Nature Reserves and Protected Natural Environments.
X•SAFETY helps organizations protect visitors in remote and sensitive natural environments by automatically delivering location-specific safety warnings when people are detected within close proximity of a designated risk area.
From wildfire and flooding risks to unstable terrain, falling trees, dangerous trails and restricted areas, X•SAFETY provides an intelligent additional layer of preventive communication — before visitors unknowingly move closer to potential danger.
X•SAFETY continuously estimates the presence and approximate number of detectable mobile devices within a configurable area of approximately 10–30 metres.
When visitors enter or remain within the designated area, predefined conditions can automatically trigger the appropriate location-specific voice warning.
This enables National Parks and Nature Reserves to provide warnings exactly where they matter — at trail entrances, hazardous crossings, protected zones, wildfire-risk areas, unstable terrain or other locations where conventional infrastructure may be limited.
Rather than relying solely on static signs, X•SAFETY provides presence-aware, scenario-based safety communication that can adapt to changing risks and operational requirements.
X•SAFETY is designed to support preventive visitor safety across National Parks, Nature Reserves and other protected natural environments.
Using RF-based technology, the system estimates the presence and approximate number of detectable mobile devices within a configured area.
When predefined conditions are met, X•SAFETY can automatically activate the appropriate close proximity safety message.
This creates a dynamic warning capability that responds to where people are present, how many devices are detected and which safety scenario is currently active.
Different messages can be configured according to estimated visitor presence and the specific risk associated with a location.
- 1–3 devices detected → Individual / Small Group Warning
- 4–8 devices detected → Visitor Group Warning
- 9–15 devices detected → Increased Awareness Message
- 16+ devices detected → High Visitor Presence Warning
This allows park authorities to adapt the type, frequency or urgency of safety communication according to estimated visitor presence.
Detection performance and effective range can vary according to environmental conditions, device characteristics, configuration, RF conditions and terrain.
The Right Warning. At the Right Location. When Visitors Are Nearby. Protecting People in Protected Places.
